TOKYO MILD Ignites the Heat!

Across Mountains & Seas · Youth Cultural Exchange Challenge — Round 1

“Every bite brings you closer to China.”

With that slogan, EBC and Air China kicked off the very first round of the Across Mountains & Seas Youth Cultural Exchange Challenge — themed Tokyo MILD.

It wasn’t just a spicy food challenge; it was a day filled with laughter, friendship, and fearless fun.
Our participants arrived as strangers but left as teammates, bonded over a shared table and a lot of heat.

From “Just Met” to “Laughing Out Loud”

Before anyone even started eating, the room was already buzzing with energy.
Groups were chatting, joking, and daring each other about their spice tolerance.
When the first round began — “Chicken Rice 30”, a race to finish small cups of Japanese-style rice in 30 seconds — the laughter was unstoppable.
Some were cool and calm; others couldn’t stop giggling as they tried to swallow the last bite before time ran out.

Games, Reactions, and Spicy Surprises

Each round brought new levels of fun and chaos.
Our MC kept the crowd cheering while contestants showed their bravest (and funniest) faces.
There was even a mini “heart attack revival” moment when one group laughed so hard they couldn’t continue — but no worries, everyone survived with big smiles!

And then came the final showdown:
The “spice king” of the night — a student from India — calmly finished multiple chili bites and spicy sushi without breaking a sweat, earning thunderous applause.
One Chinese contestant also pushed through every level — we gave him a well-deserved instant upgrade!

A Warm and Flavorful Community

The event was fiery, fun, and full of warmth.
Delicious food + interesting people = the perfect weekend combination.
It wasn’t just a challenge — it was a celebration of youth, courage, and cross-cultural friendship.
